Membership in the Hillsdale County Coalition for Peace and Justice is open to anyone who agrees with the following Principles, and further agrees to abide by and to actively support and promote them. We do not require dues from any Member, but gratefully appreciate donations in any amount.

1. A belief in peace and justice.

2. Mutual tolerance - a recognition and acceptance of others’ differing points of view.

3. Mutual respect - putting tolerance into action.

4. Freedom of expression - supporting everyone’s rights, even if we don’t agree with them.

5. Rational discourse - basing discussions on calmly reasoned facts.

6. Personal & social responsibility - accepting responsibility for our own actions and the welfare of all.

Specific goals, projects and actions will be agreed upon in order to promote our Principles.
